Android intents

Hi all,

I've done some searching around the forums but can't find anything recent.

Is there a list of all the intents that the Emby for Android app can handle?

For context, using this app on Android TV (not the "Emby for Android TV" app) and would like to remap some buttons on the remote control.

Hi, if you're on Android then yes, you can deep link to a specific item using the emby:// scheme. 

You currently have to set the Intent action to "android.intent.action.VIEW", then you can use a link like "emby://items/{SERVER_ID}/{ITEM_ID}"

Thanks Luke, does the app support deep links to more "general" pages such as TV shows, live TV guide etc or is it just to a specific item?

If you set the intent to ACTION_APPSHORTCUT

then pass an extra of shortcutid=livetv or shortcutid=guide, then I think that will work.

Ok, I gave this ago and it didn't work. Although emby did launch, it made a complete mess of the UI which is a shame. I will try and get a screenshot.

I hope it's okay that I use this thread, because it's also about using the emby:// scheme and intents.

I am trying to make this work on a mibox running android TV 9, and nothing is happening. Do I need to add anything more to this?

What I'm trying to do is add shortcuts to the home screen of Projectivy Launcher using TVQuickactions Pro

Ideally what I want to do is add shortcuts to my libraries, but I thought I'd just get a simple shortcut to a movie to work first...
