rhodges 49 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 With Emby running in a browser, changing the bitrate so it didn't trigger a transcode has eliminated the problem for me. I do have hardware accelerated transcoding enabled on the server and it seemed that with that enabled I had problems. I am unsure if it is all transcoding (software and hardware) or just hardware transcoding, but transcoding none-the-less was the issue for me. For those of you with the problem, is your stuff getting transcoded? If so, try turning it off and see if that solves the issue (at least if it is does, then we know that is the issue and could help get a fix out quicker)

I'll disable it and report back.
rhodges 49 Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 I'm on 4.8 something, whatever the latest non-beta release is. I should clarify, it was video encoding, and probably hw assisted encoding that caused the issue for me. I still have audio encoding sometimes for unsupported codecs but that works just fine, especially since it is software encoding. I need to try disabling hw video encoding and let it software encode and see if it'll work to narrow it down further.
