Emby Theater can't connect to local server (same LAN)

as titles says, my emby theater recently can't connect to the server (192.168.1.3)

some info :

server is Debian
storage is mounted via nfs

what i already tried,

use the docker version
use the native version

reinstall server OS (ubuntu and debian)
upgrading debian 12 to trixie
disable nginx / reverse proxy, in case it's conflict
open firewall

using emby app from ms. store (working fine without issue, but i need to use custom mpv.dll to inject SVP (SmoothVideoProject), so i can watch my content in high frame rates, smooth) into the emby hence i use the emby-theater)
using web app (working fine without issue, no SVP as well)
using ios and android app (working fine as well)
using emby theater but updated the electron manually to latest version (working and connected somehow after doing fresh install to local ip (probably by network discovery?), but i can't play anything, seems infinite loop loading)

using emby theater after managed to connect via local ip (from previous attempt using newer electron, but revert back the electron again after success connecting, aka bait session) (working, i can play (didn't test long enough), but every i finished play the content, i got error msg, also lot of section in manage / dashboard server is not showing up, like activity, or else)

i dont think it's server issues, but more to electron issues
currently i can still play the content + svp with current emby theater (after successfully bait session with latest electron)
and using emby from ms.store but no svp support

hope someone manage to reproduce this issue, and traced them to fix it, since for me using svp for watching anime is kinda mandatory 😭
also bonus, the last windows update was this : (before it broke everything, in case the problem was this one, i've been debugging it since yesterday, including reinstall restore etc)

Getting the exact same error with the electron app....there was an error processing the request.

Reinstalled 3.020 and now Emby wont connect to the server.

I'm guessing its an Emby authentication server side issue that affects the electron app?

The new WIN app works fine.

if you still want to use emby theater albeit with limited functionality (manage server)

do this
1. go complete remove existing emby-theater (including removing all emby-theater folder if there is residue in %appdata% (Roaming folder))
2. download thisĀ https://github.com/electron/electron/releasesĀ grab with the correct architecture you use (for windows, should beĀ electron-v36.2.1-win32-x64.zip )
3. backup the current electron in emby theater (just simply rename the electron folder to something else)
4. then extract the latest electron, and put it in electron folder
5. and run the emby-theater again, it should be discover your local server and already in sign in form (atleast on my end is like that) login, and bam, you can still use it to play, but not manage your server

i'll try again in 30m ~ 1h, since just now trying to connect to local ip still same result (this including same error msg after playback, with separate client that i already made connection via session bait earlier, the SS i attached is another standalone for debugging purpose)

Edit : 2nd attempt unfortunately still fail (same result), after 30 minutes from 1st attempt @Luke

after the 3rd attempt, it's working now, (even the standalone version) thanks

Hi Like all fixed.

What caused the problem? Is it the app premier authentication?

For me at least the electron app is still the better option.

probably, since we do nothing, it's probably on their end (and most likely is the the premier auth, since connecting from emby-theater counted as 1 devices i guess)
but who knows, only Luke can answer 🤣

It was a defect in the hosted UI. This will not happen with the windows store version as everything is self contained into the app now. Thanks guys.
