tedfroop21 86 Posted May 16, 2025 Posted May 16, 2025 Just questions... What causes an NFO to rewrite or refresh? Is there a way to "refresh" the NFO's (add any meta in emby that is missing or has been updated since the NFO was written)? People, If I have custom made meta for actors with no meta available from meta suppliers, is that backed up in the backup files? Would I be able to selectively recover the people data to a new install IF I wanted a "clean start"? IE, I want to recover or add all the manually added actors and manually created meta (realizing of course it would recover all the people data.)? Reason is, I have a lot of media that does not have meta on any providers site, but the info can be collected and added to emby. Not only that, but some providers have started adding all the guest stars for TV shows. Which means info on some people is available on fan sites, but not through meta providers. NFO's store the media meta but people is a bit more of an issue if say you want a "clean start" without losing all the manually added people data.
Luke 42078 Posted May 16, 2025 Posted May 16, 2025 Hi, anytime media is updated in the database, the corresponding nfo is updated. That’s nothing you need you do to make that happen.
