Is that what you mean? But which port number settings? There are two sets. Maybe you changed the wrong ones. Maybe you changed the local port numbers by mistake.

Luke 42077 Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
rbjtech 5284 Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 (edited) 445 is the main Windows SMB port - do not use that as you are going to not only confuse things but potentially open up all file sharing on your local network - not what you want to do.. I suggest you get the standard ports working first - tcp 8096 (and if you have a cert tcp 8097,) Once they are listening/working, then change them to anything in the upper port ranges based on 809x etc or use 80/443. The external and internal ports can be different or you can do the port address translation on your router (via NAT) or reverse proxy if you have one - either way - the LAN will be listening on the internal ports, WAN will be listening on the external ones. An internet port scanner will find any external listening port - so you cannot 'hide' just because you are using a random port ... Edited August 22, 2025 by rbjtech
