Emby App on AppleTV

Hello, 

on the Google TV / FireTV Stick you can install  the Emby for Android TV app and the normal Emby for Android .

 

On Apple TV  the normal iphone/ipad app is not available on Apple TV. 

The normal  Emby app is much nicer to use and looks so so so  good... 

Will you update the  TV app or give the option to use the non TV app on AppleTV like on Android TV ? 

 

At the moment i use a Firetv Stick to have the better app .. that AppleTV donot have

Already report the tv show themes in the menu donot play,

The Menu  buttons looks better on normal app

I like picure one so much more, you can see the art without  and have nice buttons 

Its simple the new design i think,   my LG to has the new design  iphone pad Andriod app   without TV 

old design  i found on the Apple TV, Emby TV app for Android and 

 

1. Screen: Emby app on Andrion TV

2. Screen: Apple TV 

 

You can long press a movie cover and get a menu with the newer design. 

You have a nice menu on the left and see all librarys.. on many menu. 

 

Apple TV simply dont have the new design

Can you bring the look of screenshot 1 to Apple TV ?

The iOS app is a lot better than the Apple TV app in my opinion. The Apple TV app is lacking a lot. Basic things like a recording indicator in the guide is missing in the Apple TV app.  

Are there no plans to get the Apple TV app like the iOS or Android app?

Hi @LukePlease Update it, App is far more better on IOS and a lot of options. themed songs themed videos, playback options, Display, home Screen. I heard that new Apple TV that will release this year and I am Planning to upgrade. Hope it will be fix before new ATV release. Thanks..

Yeah, many settings are missing within the Apple TV App
On my Android the Android TV App also misses some but here at least I can use the Android App itself which seems to be the one with the most options.

I miss the background settings like audio background, video background startpage background like blue radiance

Hope this will be one day integrated as I don't want to switch always between my Android TV and Apple TV
