Plugin: EmbyIcons release.

Attempting to install on Ubuntu Linux beta: emby-server-deb_4.9.1.31_amd64.deb

After installing latest .DLL file and restarting, it crashes EMS.

I will look into it.

It's using the dependencies for the stable version, maybe they are not compatible with the beta anymore.

I just tested the plugin with the beta installed in Linux.

The plugin works as it should with no errors on my end.
Can i get you to provide me a log from Emby with the crash?

I confirm issue with EmbyIcons and 4.9.1.80
I had the latest dll installed while in latest 4.8 and Emby autoinstall the final version of 4.9 ( 4.9.1.80). Upon reboot EMS crashed and it took me a while to figure out it was EmbyIcons plugin. Once I removed the dll from the plugins folder and restarted EMS, it loads fine.

Strange, it should work with the new version.
As soon as i get the new version to test with i will try and update the dependencies the plugin has and see if that help.

Just noticed my Emby test server had already updated.

Embyicons seems to run fine on it though.
Can i get you to try and reset the browser cache (ctrl-shift-f5) and see if that help?

In the mean time i will test with the new dependencies.

Sadly is not client side issue, so cache won't help. Check my thread earlier today. 
The tricky part is that EMS crashes without any log output to give a hint.

What I can try to do is to remove any existing configuration from EmbyIcons and start from scratch.
Currently, if I just add the dll, crash occurs. 
Apart from config files in plugins/configurations , are there any other files being generated with the installation of the plugin?

Sadly hard to me to troubleshoot this as it works on all serveres i install it on.
You can try and see if this version fixes it though as it's updated to use the latest Emby server .dlls.

I fixed some (very) edge case problems that might happen with the plugin.

the bad news is that the issue persists even with the latest version.
the good news is that this time I managed to get debug logs.
Not sure what that means:

Debug Plugin: [EmbyIcons] Populating library path cache using Trie.

Should I delete the whole Emby cache?
deleting cache didn't help

Latest EmbyIcons.dll does not solve the Problem.

Habe jetzt meinen Server geupdated und habe noch keine Probleme unter Ubuntu - aber wenn es ne Stunde dauert bis er crashed dann dauert es noch

Now i just need to optimize the movies look ups to speed it up a bit and it should be running good for a while.

Please note: It's nothing that will be a big speed increase but work taking.

It should work, it was a minor thing that was wrong with it.

When updating servers I usually remove all none standart plugins

I do not want to break Emby by a fluke plugin, especially with major release's.

Agree, on my main server i only run EmbyIcons and only real custom setting in Emby is a auto quality fix but even that gets removed when updating.

Emby has been for me one of the least troublesome programs i have ever used, so usually no problems.. Knock on wood..

@yockerI just upgraded my test server with this plugin enabled, v.5.38.7.0

No issues found, running docker.
