Good to hear.
Sadly it can't be made as fast as Emby without the plugin as it has to aggregate all the shows and so on , specially for large collections but i might be able to squeeze just a little bit more out of it.

Understandable. And I think the tradeoff of not having to refresh the shows to get updates is worth it. The lag is really not that bad, just slightly more noticeable over the 5.25.2 version.

While i have your attention.
Try this one, just to see if i had missed anything i had an AI give me a suggestion to something that might improve the speed and it looks like it had a point.

It did improve things a bit on my end.
Will have to test more but would nice to see if it has any improvements for you as well.

I can't tell a huge difference on reloads between this one and the last one, but the initial load after reboot was slower on this one it feels like. Not a huge deal.

Edit: Scratch that, browser cache had me again. After clearing cache it feels faster.

New release (5.31.6)
Same as i uploaded before, just with a version bump and release statement to make it official! ;)

Bug fix:
1 . Fixed the aggregation running every time the Emby start page was entered.
This will make the start page load faster.

Thank you for reporting the bug so it could be fixed!

I went through all my libraries to let the plugin generate the images after the upgrade to the latest version and loading time of the startpage is a lot better now after doing that! Thanks!

I decided to revert back to 2.25.2 again. I don't see a memory leak anywhere, but it certainly feels like there is one on the latest version. The longer Emby is running, the slower my whole system gets until it is nearly unresponsive. Switching back to 2.25.2 cleared it right up and posters and start page are back to loading almost instantly. It means I lose out on excluding specials from the aggregation, but the performance hit was too hard.

I have been working on the problem none stop and have fixed it on my end.

Could you test it fast so i know it will work on other machines as well?

This version is loading much faster, almost as fast as 2.25.2. I will leave it overnight and see how it affects system speed in the morning.

I take it back. After going through my libraries to preload the cache, everything got much slower. I wonder if its just the sheer size of my libraries negatively impacting. I have over 100k files.

I added a memory usage monitor in the troubleshooter for my own testing, can you check what that says ?

One last thing, you mean 5.25.2 and not 2.25.2 ?

@keitaro26No, I have less files, same lag. Seems one of the new functions seems to slow down Emby real heavy. Just can think of the Aspect Ratio stuff. 5.30.2 seems to be the last version working without lag for me.

This is with the latest dll:

With 5.30.2:

Fixed some things in this one.
Please keep in mind that the first time it goes through all the data and fills the cache it will always feels a bit slow. ;)

Movie libraries are still a bit slow with this one i think but still looking into it.

I have reverted every single thing to use the old system used in 5.30.2.

Basically i had moved some thing to use background tasks to not bog down the server, i guess i was a little to careless with that.
Also i had added a background scanner task to make sure icons were as they should be.
Those two things could cause Emby to wait for posters that were last in the queue making it take a long time.

Everything is now back to how it normally was.
In my testing this should fix the problem, if not then please don't hesitate to report back to me as this needs to work.

Latest version is much better on first sight, but still not as fast as 5.30.2. Will go for a walk with the dog and check how it behaves after Emby idles out some time.

Yes, I meant 5.25.2. I will try the new version later today when I get a moment.

Just a quick question.

Is the plugin creating cache for folders not enabled ?

In this example Movies are not enabled.

I tested my deleting plugin and xml file.

Not sure if that is enough to restart / retry / delete all.

But even movie library is slow loading and that's not enabled in config.

Is that with the one i gave Sh0rty?
I can't replicate it on my end.

Also after some time away the latest dll ist far better than the previous ones. Loading of recently added Movies and TV Shows still not as fast as 5.30.2, but okay.

It made to ignore folders what it's not meant to work in so what you are seeing is strange.
