Sadly not something i can fix (at least can't think of a way).

I could maybe look into making it so people could choose on a grid where the icons should be.
Problem is i have no idea how to make that, will make it a side project.

I think it is fine the way it is. Being able to choose which icons appear in which corner and vertical or horizontal is plenty. I just turned everything on to see everything to test it, haha.

The new version (Version 4.01) is up on Github.

Added:
Added support for Aspect Ratios.
Added button to enable and disable the plugins logging.

Changed:
Made the detection dynamic so formats, resolution and so on is no longer hardcoded.

Fixed:
The plugin no longer redraws all posters after a server reset - If you have changed your media files between server shutdowns and some icons are stale or missing then use the "Clear icons cache" button in the settings.
(For people who tested the beta, this was not finished when i uploaded that so is not part of the beta.)

Note: The dynamic change sadly made it so new icon names has to be used.
Like vc.h264.png for the video codec format, please read the readme and/or look at the IconExamples for a look at the naming scheme.
It is NOT backwards compatible with the old names!

You are correct, don't know what went wrong there as it should be the correct version.

I'm working on embedding icons into the code it self as a kind of fallback and making it easier for new users.
It *should* make it so you can use it in Arch without messing with permissions, only problem being you can only use the icons i provide in the code with your system.

Can you provide a list of icons that are crucial for you so i can add them?
Like for example.
English, spanish, japanese audio, subtitles.

Edit: I'm not removing the ability for people to choose custom icons. i'm just adding embedded icons for new users or people that don't need custom ones.

1. Icon manager, a tool to see what icons are missing for your videos, it is located in the settings.
2. Profiles to control how each library should look.
3. Setting to use built in icons, custom with built in icons as fallback or only custom icons. This was made to make it all easier for new users and users.
4. Added controllable priorities to icons so the order that the icons are shown can be controlled.

Changed:

1. Moved the icon type selector to the Alignment and Layout to clean up the settings.
   You can now disable icon types by selecting disable in the drop downs instead.
2. Various small code improvements.

Bugs:
The folder view selector for the icons folder does not go away when pressing ok. Temp fix: Just press next to it or on the X.
I just noticed that before i gathered it all into the release.

If there are any problems then please don't hesitate to report them to me!!

I am still seeing the old setting page, and nothing I change and save is being reflected on the posters, only the default audio and subtitle overlays are applied to all libraries.

Sounds like a browser caching problem which shouldn't happen as the version number does it so the server refreshes the cache when it sees a different number.

Try shift -- ctrl - R

And my fault, i forgot to add a simple "pluginversion" in the code so it automatically clears the browser cache, will quickly update that.

Fixed.

It should now correctly automatically update when a new version number is detected.
Or just use shift - ctrl - R

Haha yeah, it actually had a hidden benefit for me as i found out i still had a lot of videos with audio languages that will never get used.
So started up my remuxer and in the process of saving some GBs.

Currently installing the newest dll. Well done @yocker!

One question though: Currently the icons are used on the Primary image (Poster) of a movie and series (e.g. DV if all episodes match). Is it also possible to append the icons to e.g. the thumbnails and banner in one of a future versions for people that use thumbnail or banner view e.g. for TV shows + to the season posters?

Never thought about that tbh. as i always just used posters.
