The Netflix logo is transparent PNG - confirmed working with emby 4.9.5 until I upgraded to 4.10 this morning. It used to only render the circle, now the background is white.

If you mean the Netflix logo in the bottom then it looks to me like an error in the image.
Please send it here i will test it right now and see what i can find out.

I can't seem to replicate it.
Is it used as a tag or as any other icon?

If possible can you send me your embyicons.xml file found in plugins/configurations.
That way i can see if it's a configuration problem.

I have a tag on the media - 'Available on Netflix' and the custom tag sets it up to use that icon.

@tOLJYI can't replicate the problem no matter what i do.
Tested with various versions of Emby, docker, Linux and Windows.

I checked the png image it self and it shouldn't have any problems either.

Try with both image smoothing on and off and see if that makes a difference.


Also temporarily try with a different icon as Skia for your Emby might not like this one.

Other than that i'm stumped.

And now weirdly, evne though I've given it a completly different image, its still rendering the old one. Even if I clear cache, force reload. Everything...

Ahh yes, it caches the icons to be used when drawing instead of constantly reading from disk.
Had the problem of the cache not clearing that as it should when pressing the button.
You might need to close Emby and start again for the change to happen and then move the icon for it to redraw it.

Sorry about that, i'll try and fix that bug for next version.

Yep did that and rendering the new icon. Same issue though, any transparent section is just rendered in white

Move the icon to another corner, save and go into the library for the poster to be drawn.
Then send me the log and i will look at it.

That said, i don't think i will find anything. Everything is (as far as i know) working as it should on all versions of Emby i have tried.

Yeah I've tried that a few times but unfortunately all it does is move it around.

 

Any idea why it worked with emby 4.9.5 and EmbyIcons 5.57.9.0 but now not with emby 4.10.0.40 and EmbyIcons 5.58.0.0? Was there  achnage between those versions that could have done it?

Weird - I've got EmbyIcons 5.58.0.0.... Your GitHub repo looks like its still on 5.57.9.0 though? Would downgrading the plugin help?

I don't know what Emby might have changed but EmbyIcons changed to netstandard 2.
That shouldn't present any problems though and as said it works on all versions of Emby i have tested.

I'm still testing it and while copying your settings between my test servers to see what i can find out.

Yes, i haven't updated the repo yet as there is still some work to be done. Specifically i'm working on making the UI much more user friendly.
You can try. Remember to rename the one in the repo to lower case before copy.

@Lukelooks like something in the jump from emby server 4.9.5 to 4.10.40 has caused issues with transparent overlays in Linux systems. Any idea what the solution might be?

Hey, I am using embyicons to overlay the community rating for movies. What I noticed is, that it always shows a community rating of "10" if it the community rating field is either empty or if it is set to 0. 

Could the default behaviour be changed to either showing 0, or even better not showing the icon at all if the community rating is not set?

Try the latest 5.60.2.0 beta in the catalog.
I changed it to not show when the rating has no value.
