@yockerI just wanted to say that I stumbled across this plugin yesterday and it is awesome. I had a quick question if I may. I use all my own templated movie posters and due to the location of some of the content, using the black bar at the top or bottom wont work for me. I know you can do it so it doesn't overlay but it gets a bit squashed up.

I found that adding the icons over the poster itself sometimes made it hard to read so I wanted to add a black border around the edges of them all so they would stand out. I couldn't seem to do this via the UI soI added the border to my source images themselves. It seems to have the desired effect but I was wondering if there was a way possibly to this via the UI that I missed?

I thought maybe it would be good to have an option to add a coloured box to the overlay so you could move it to under where your icons will be. A bit similar to that drag and drop box I found with highlights areas where icons can go?

i have attached a poster to show you what I mean about the black bar not being suitable at top and bottom.

Once again seriously this plugin is great .

Many thanks for the kind words! :)

There is no way to add the black background to images, other than the way you have done it, for now.
Good idea for the future though.

Hi,

first of all - thank you for building such a great plugin. I love it!

Unfortunately, the icon for "Series Status" has been changed. Visually, it's certainly a great idea - but since "Ended" and "Running" have the same layout, I can no longer see the meaning on my screen. Only if I make it 30% larger does it become clear, but then it partially obscures the series title.

Could you add a green border for "Running" and a red border for "Ended"? That would make it visually easier. Or is there any way I can get the old icons, which, by the way, are still on some series and haven't been replaced, for whatever reason?

Thank you for the kind words and happy you like the plugin! :)

You can change the icon by adding your own to a folder and configurating the plugin to use that folder.
For now i have reverted the change to include the old icons instead.

They will be changed at some point as i'm working on refreshing all the icons to be more consistent.

Thanks for the support!

I would of course use my own icons, but unfortunately I can't read the syntax table that you've displayed under "Icon Naming Convention" on the first page of this thread. Perhaps it's due to my settings—what would the syntax be for the series status?

No problem at all.

I've been very lazy and bad about updating the info here on the forum but In the plugin options there is a help tab, in there you should be able to see all the prefixes for icon names the plugin will search for and use.
For series status it's:

series.ended.png - For series that have ended or been canceled
series.running.png - For series that are still airing new episodes

I will update the info here on the page soon when i get around to it. :)
For now i suggest looking in the help tab in the plugin for any info you might need.

I'm having a little problem with another overlay that displays the deletion date. Here's what I have:

Is it possible to do something ?

Thanks a lot

Yes, and now I was too lazy to take a closer look myself - sorry about that.😀
But my nickname - TecEmbryo - is justified!🤣

Thanks for the effort and support - I'll just give it a try now!👍

My problem is that the second line is a copy of the first one.
for exemple, no problem for this one because I don't have the line "supprimer le xxx"

Looks like another plugin is causing problems for EmbyIcons.
Try uninstalling the other plugin and see if that helps.
