You are not stupid! The plugin does as just said not work with music atm. Basically i use Tidal/Spotify my self and thought 99% of people would do the same so never felt the need to add music support. I will look into it but no ETA. U need to try Emby/Symphonium. Come to the world of 24bits/192kHz music. Tidal is good, but not this good. Edited yesterday at 06:50 AM by sergiovassari

Most of my movies are german only except a few ones, that I tried to mark when english is in movie filename. The plugin should automatically show an icon for English if there is English language in the video. If using the filename-based system in the beta version of EmbyIcons then just add an "english to the video file name and the plugin will look for an icon named source.english.png in the user custom folder.

Tidal is good, but not this good. Tried it but always fell back to Tidal and Spotify instead plus they have lossless option now a days. I don't have that many CD's to rip either and i don't think vinyl records would sound good being ripped. Spotify and Tidal are services i have no problem paying for as they are convenient and works. I also have friends that release music on Spotify, öffelhorn being one of the bands of my friends (Bit of free advertisement for them there.. ) 3
yocker 1700 Posted yesterday at 10:49 AM Author Posted yesterday at 10:49 AM (edited) Small update. Removed the Music Library ignore from the plugin and can see what I need to do. First off, posters for music libraries use a different scale, not really an issue but will require the 200x300 feature to ignore music libraries. Need to add bitrate and sample rate icon support. The troubleshooter needs to be updated with said icons. Update the cache to work with new icons. Update profile system. Update UI. Update help page. Get new icons made (please help!). Update filename-based and tag system. And some things I most likely have forgotten. Ir does sound worse than it is though, most trouble some well be the troubleshooter, rest is quite straight forward but boring. Anyway, just a small update and a plea for someone to make the icons. I like your plugin so much that I made icons for my own use (I find the default ones really ugly—no offense). If my graphic style works for you, let me know what you need for albums, and I'll create them in that style.

Appreciate it and many thanks but i need icons that look like the ones already in the plugin so as to not suddenly have a lot of different ones. You can gather them in a zip file and release them either here or in another thread (probably best) as i'm sure there are people very interested in them! 1

Yes, those are the ones i'm planning to add with a "snap to nearest known rate" as a failsafe for those that might just deviate with 1bit or something for some reason. The plugin can already see .mp3, .flack and so on as it dynamically looks after what Emby says the files have. Actually have file formats and so on working already. Could the Bitrate and Simple rates be rendered as text, like IMDB Ratings are on Movies/Series? That way you'd just need a single kilohertz (kHZ) and kilobit (kbps) icon, and would remove the need to have the snap-to functionality. Audio Codecs can just use the same icons used by Audio streams in video files. Most are the same the same technology, just add in the ones not already included like .FLAC and .ALAC. Also, for some songs in my Music Library, I have both a .MP3 and a .FLAC version. Might a "multiple files" icon be useful, or will EmbyIcons group simply same-type icons together like on video posters? I take it HIRES and REMUX would be equivalent to Source icons (Extended, Deleted, etc). Would there be need for the decisive "Explicit Lyrics" icon? And just to make things more difficult, I can't help but wonder how long before someone requests Bit- and Sample-rate icons for audio streams in video files. And just to make things more difficult, I can't help but wonder how long before someone requests Bit- and Sample-rate icons for audio streams in video files. 1) Making it text would be ugly, the ratings only did it out of necessity. 2) The plan is to copy the TV series aggregation system, so that music will have it's own and then modify it to work with only music related properties. It will be like the TV series, all or nothing. So if not all have for example 44.1k then the icon won't be shown. 3) Plan is music will just be, format (e.g. MP3), bitrate, samplerate, bit depth with support for the tag and filename-based system. 4) That's simple.. That won't be implemented because i don't think that will ever be needed for movies and TV shows! It would though be rather simple to implement, problem is the plugin is already doing a lot and i want to try and limit CPU usage where ever possible. 1
yocker 1700 Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago Forgot to say, That's the plan anyway. Music album posters at first glance looks to be reused across whole albums and songs so it might be impossible to make aggregation work as it's supposed to do. I don't know if Emby uses the same tag system for music so i will have to research that, can't see why it wouldn't though. While it's mostly copy and paste work with some modifying it will take some time to do all this. So don't expect this to be ready first thing tomorrow. 1
