podonnell 47 Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 Hi, I thought I read somewhere that in order for a user to cast to a device in their own network, this setting needs to be enabled. I may be mistaken but wanted to check in on this setting to confirm exactly what it does. Thanks for any clarifications.
podonnell 47 Posted May 12, 2025 Author Posted May 12, 2025 Just to clarify, that means if a user has a DLNA device within their own network, it allows them to control that. It has no bearing on a DLNA device on the server subnet or other users networks?
Luke 42078 Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 Dlna devices are only detected on the server network at this time.
podonnell 47 Posted May 12, 2025 Author Posted May 12, 2025 Ah okay, so if I gave this to a user, they would be able to control any DLNA devices on my server network?

It would be better to have the clients detect the devices rather than the server, but we haven't added that yet. 1
