Emby not pausing more then a few seconds on my t.v.s

Just noticed this a few days ago. I pause a show, then go back 5/10 minutes later and the show is already playing. Something must have changed, because up till I noticed, I could walk away as long as I wanted. Shows start playing again after less then 30 seconds. Also I noticed shows are pausing a few seconds, by themselves quite often. This also just recently started happening.

As Always, Thanks

I think the problem is somehow outside of Emby but the info you have given is inadequate by a LONG margin. You need to follow the instructions that @Luke has given and be sure to include everything and details about your network as well as your client(s) and how they are connected.

With many clients the behavior you are reporting could be a high level of IR noise faking as a remote keypress. It is also possible that noise on your network could be faking a keypress.

The logs will help as they might tell exactly what Emby saw that acted like a keypress. Of course it could be the client itself that is the problem so Emby might need logs from the client as well.

I once, quite a while ago, had a similar problem that turned out to be a remote that had slipped between cushions and was randomly pressing buttons from time to time. Of course the problem would stop if the batteries wore down. I found the remote well before that happened. There are good things to be said about having multiple remotes but one bad thing is that a rarely used remote can disappear and the fact not be noticed for quite a while. I also had another instance where a remote malfunctioned and started sending random signals. That problem did not cause any unwanted actions but it did blanket the IR signals and prevent any other remote from working properly.

Good luck.
