Merge folders

Hi,

After a successfull migration from Plex, I’m missing only one thing: merging folders.
I have few cases where I need to merge media, like:
/hdd-1/TV Shows/Show/Season 1/
/hdd-1/TV Shows/Show/Season 2/
/hdd-2/TV Shows/Show/Season 3/

I would like to see this as only one TV Show. Currently the season 3 is displayed as a different show. If I finish season 2, season 3 won’t be displayed as « next espisode ».

Same for Movies
/hdd-1/Movies/My Movie/My Movie.mkv
/hdd-2/4K Movies/My Movie/My Movie.mkv

I would like to see this as only one movie, with different versions.

Emby hosted on Synology.

as library paths?

Yes. One TV Show library with 2 paths. 

But shows are displayed as two differents ones.

And do you have "Automatically merge series spread accross multiple folders" enabled in ibrary options?

As for movies, automatically merging movies based on TMDBId will be a feature in upcoming 4.9 release. Till then, you can either:

1) Put all different files in same folder and follow naming convention for multi-version movies

2) Multi-select and select "Group Versions" in three-dot menu 

3) Use one of the community-made auto-Grouping plugins:

I can say so far grouping for movies is working fairly well in the beta. Maybe a few things that need to be ironed out, but otherwise it's a huge quality of life upgrade overall.
