rhodges 49 Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 Due to a miscalculation with a zfs filesystem command, I find myself without my media. I'm in the process of reacquiring it, however, in the mean time, Emby has scanned my filesystem and has discovered my mistake and of course, removed the media from the listings. Question is, when I recover it and scan it back in, will I still have all my watched history? I have backups of my Emby database, so I can keep it offline until I'm done and then restore that back and go, but since that'll take a while, I'd like to have Emby back online and present media as I reimport. I think the answer is yes, but I wanted to confirm.
Solution darkassassin07 652 Posted May 9, 2025 Solution Posted May 9, 2025 (edited) It will remember, yes. Watch history is based off of provider IDs (tvdb, moviedb, imdb, etc), instead of file names/paths. Edited May 9, 2025 by darkassassin07 1
