I finally decided to enable the subtitle option For manual download.  The library settings are configured with a user/pass for Opensubs.com.  Unable to retrieve any subs, No Results found.  Current Emby version:4.8.11.0, Current Open subtitles version 1.0.64.0

Require a hash - Not selected

Forced Subs only - Not Selected

Any ideas?

You're still getting 401 Unauthorized - are you positive your credentials (username (not email) and password) are entered correctly, i.e. no blank spaces if copy/pasted?

Yes,  entered incorrectly to verify.

Thought maybe vip-api.opensubtitles.com is temporary having some issues - but it doesn't appear so, I can log in and download no prob (Win server).

As a temporary workaround, if you clear your credentials and use regular account (it'll call api.opensubtitles.com), are you getting any hits on manual search?

Unfortunately no, still receiving No results found

And you're positive/checked on the website that that particular item does actually have subs in preferred language available?

Can you post server log?

Yes the file does have subtitles on www.opensubtitles.com.

Dev will have to comment if you're getting 401 Unauthorized even when no credentials entered. @Luke

HI, try reconfiguring your opensubtitles username and password and see if that helps.

Also is the server on a VPN?
