Subtitles Selection (Android TV and Server)

Good morning guys, how are you doing.

 

In my server I selected to show subtitles in pt-br, but when I use Emby at mi box tv (Android TV) its select pt, not pt-br, also when I click to look at, just show Portuguese and Portuguese.
just on web I can see Portuguese (Brazil)

is it possible to fix both items?

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

I’m facing an issue with subtitle language selection on my setup (Mi box TV 4k).

1. User Language and Subtitle Auto-Selection

Even though my user profile is set to Portuguese (Brazil), when I play a movie or series that includes a pt-BR SubRip subtitle, Emby automatically selects pt instead. This causes the app to pick the wrong subtitle .

2. Subtitle Labeling on Android TV

When I open the subtitle selection menu on the Emby Android TV app (Mi Box TV), it shows only “Portuguese” twice — no distinction between “Portuguese” and “Portuguese (Brazil)”. However, on the web version, the subtitle is correctly labeled as Portuguese (Brazil).

I'll attach screenshots from my TV and include the app version to help with troubleshooting.

Is there any way to resolve both of these issues?

Additional Suggestion:
When a movie or series is playing and I open the subtitle selection menu, it would be helpful if the currently selected subtitle were automatically highlighted or focused in the list.

Currently, the menu always starts at the top, so I have to scroll manually — sometimes all the way down to, say, the subtitles starting with the letter “P” (e.g., Portuguese). This becomes a bit inconvenient during playback.

Sorry for delay.

For android mobile appear just on app for mi box tv.
But for mi box, I download from google store, thats why its weird.

4.8.11 is the server version. So you have the server on the mi box?

It's weird, because mi box TV for xiaomi  use playstore

Search for "Emb" only, you'll have two apps listed.
