Does Apple TV App Require Access to Emby Servers?

I am just getting started with Emby and have a question that is not only exclusive to the Apple TV app, but this seemed like a logical place to post the question. When I am using the Apple TV app (or a similar app, what I will call end client) to connect to my Emby server, does the end client make any requests / connections to Emby's own servers rather than just my personal Emby server? Maybe this needs to happen to verify Emby Premiere or something?

 

For context, I am trying to set up some rules in my network that route all connections to my server through a VPN. Obviously I know where my server is and how to direct those rules. However, if calls are being made to Emby's servers as well, then I'd like to also route those through a VPN, but I am not sure what IP addresses might be being accessed or how often they change so that I can set up this up. Appreciate any help!

Hi, only for Premiere validation. Other than that there is no dependency.
