Highlight rectangle color

I am running server 4.9.0.52 and Android app 2.1.26g
As some will remember I fought to keep using the Roku for a long time as I felt that the Android was too "clunky" for my use. But recent changes has dragged me, kicking and screaming, away form Roku and into using my Shield for most playback. After the initial period of adjustment, which is to be expected, I am liking it a lot. I have also found that "Live TV" is much more stable on the Shield and that is a very good thing
However I do have a question that is not anything broken or otherwise behaving like a bug but:

In the display settings I have "Theme default" selected as my highlight color and it works fine for the theme(s) I use and it is pretty visible but I think it could be better at least for me.

In the web browser I have many more settings for the display setting and the one I use, and like, is red. But unfortunately that is not available in the Android app. The only choices I have are "Theme default" and "Neutral" and that is OK as "Theme default" is OK. However I would prefer red for its contrast with the rest of the theme I use.

I was wondering if there was some way to add red as a choice or get the app to track my server's setting. I do like the zoom effect as I browse but that is not ideal, for me.

I am posting this here instead of the "Feature request" forum simply to see if there is some way to use red for the highlight color already built in.

I would really like to see that added. I understand that it is probably low priority and I can see some complications that might arise from the addition but I would really like to see it.

But, in this case, there is no rush as what is currently done works quite well. So there is no rush.

Have you tried using Standard Android app on your Shield (you can download it from the Store)? It'd give you somewhat different UI, much closer to Web App - including Red accent color.

Thank you but you are correct that it is not what I want. I do not like most "holiday" type of things and when I looked at the "holiday" theme I found it MUCH too busy.
What i want to do is use the interface to find content to watch but "Holiday" type themes just get in the way. 
However thank you for trying to help. I am probably too picky and should ignore what is on the screen that is not directly related to content finding and playing. I am weak and sometimes get distracted by the forest when what I really want is to see the trees.
