a2582820897 0 Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 Hello, Emby team. May I ask, when I was creating the Emby media library, I selected the 'Mixed Content' option. Then, when I scanned the media library, some videos that were not TV series were recognized as TV programs, and there were some season classifications. I don't like this. Is there any way to make Emby forcibly recognize them as movies or separate videos? thank you Most of these videos of mine are probably collected by myself on the Internet. The naming is rather messy. Is there any way to force them to be recognized as movies or videos without changing the naming?
IAmHugh 63 Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 (edited) Best practice is to correctly name the media after you receive it. This would also include the metadata name. I run Linux so in my case I use RenameMyTVSeries to appropriately name my TV series episodes (example below). For movies I don't get that many so I simply use MKVToolNix to manually rename. TV - The Equalizer (2021) S05E18 Decisions.mkv and the metadata name will read The Equalizer (2021) S05E18 Decisions. Movies - Final Destination (2000).mkv and the metadata name will read Final Destination. Edited May 5, 2025 by CummingCowGirl
