Recording playback very slow

Hello,

I have used Emby for live tv and recording for about 3 years now. It has worked almost flawlessly the whole time. I have it set up on a dedicated Windows 11 computer as my server and use multiple client apps.

The last several days, getting it to playback recordings has been a nightmare. Everything is fine until I push Play on a recording. Then it buffers for a minute or more. It will eventually play, however until now, this has always been instant. virtually no buffering at all. This happens regardless of the client or network the client is on, and it even does the same thing if using the web interface on the server it's on. I can even play the emby recording on Plex with no issues.

I have done nothing to the server. Changed no settings, added or removed nothing from the computer. I have tried rebooting several times. I am thinking of uninstalling it and reinstalling it as my next step. I have also made no changes to my network. I also use plex for media on the same network and that works just fine. As does all other network based programs. I have gigaspeed internet and it tests in the 800's down and over 40 up. 

I delete recordings all the time and the disk has more fee space on it than space used. I have tried vacuuming the cache and increasing the cache size. Nothing seems to make any difference at all.

I would appreciate any help I can get on what to try next. reinstalling the program is not something I want to do unless I have no better options.

No. Gave up and uninstalled it and installed to another computer.
