What is the way to clear the cache?

Hello,

I'm using emby for kodi on a Synology NAS since a few years, & I have many deleted movies still on screen in kodi but not on my PC...

what should i do please ?

clear the cache of emby-server on my NAS ? restart smthg ?

Did you also Kodi companion on Emby server? Removed content should be removed from Kodi too.

Probably I would trigger a factory reset in the e4k next gen plugin if it's completely out of sync or at least a repair sync.

Which versions are you running? Emby server and plugin?

Hi,

 

I clicked on "emby-next-gen > parameters > sync > reinitialize local database"

and now i don't any movie neither serie on kodi : how long do i have to wait until they appear back please ?

my emby-next-gen version is 10.0.2 (i don't have any newer version on screen)

my emby-server version is Version 4.7.14.0

so as it told me i should install the 4.8.11.0, i tried to install it, but i couldn't (i launched the manual installation, selected the emby-server-synology7_4.8.11.0_armv7.spk file as i have a DS414j NAS, but DSM told me that it's not compatible)

so i restarted emby-server 4.7.14.0-704071400 (DSM tells me it's the latest version)

nothing happens in kodi, so I wanted to check the connection to emby-server, but i couldn't find it in the parameters

I have no test installation for 4.7X server as it's outdated.

I would just start with updating to 4.8.8 which you can do in Synology Package Center without having to manually download the spk.

What model? Is DSM up to date?

huh...

as i saw on the screenshot that it was written "DS 414", i tried to install the DS414 package - and not DS414j package - and it worked !!!

i really don't understand as i was absolutely SURE that i had a DS414j (as it was cheaper than a DS414 at the time) !!!!

like we say in french, i was so sure that i would have given my hand to be cut...

so, sorry...

and now i have emby-server v4.8.11.0 installed

so now, how can i check the connection from emby-next-gen to emby-server please ?

Hello,

I checked & saw that I had 2 versions installed, 10.xxx and 11.xxxx

so i deactivated the v10.xxx one, I added manually the @ip of emby-server, added a user, added all "mediatheques" and now I'm waiting...

Maybe you should clean your Kodi installation. 2 versions should never be installed and disable versions might still cause issues.

ok i uninstalled emby-next-gen v10.xxx and now i have this message : " kodi companion addon not installed on emby-server !"

so i think i have to do it ? how do i do that please ? on the NAS package center ?

as emby server is installed on the NAS as a package, is kodi companion also a synology package ?
