Procyan 1 Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 I am retiring my old desktop i5 6600k, 32 gigs ram, 1050ti <for trans-coding> to a real server Dell D730XD, 192gigs of ram, 60TB of storage running UnRaid. I have copied my library over to the new system. How do I save my settings and metadata and import it into the new system so I don't have to make the accounts again or go through my library and setup the correct graphics and such? Also will my lifetime Emby Premiere key work on my new hardware? Thanks in advance, Michael
Luke 42078 Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Hi, have you taken a look at this? Configuration Backup How did you copy your libraries?
pwhodges 2012 Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 You can use your Premiere key on multiple servers (but you don't get multiple sets of user counts). The main problem with this transfer will be that the paths of files and libraries will presumably be different. Restoring everything may involve direct editing of the database to change those. Paul

Thanks Luke, I'm sorry I didn't search well enough. I setup UnRaid and networked it. I made a network share and then got on my windows Emby computer and copied the files over to the UnRaid share. I will repurpose the old hard drives into the UnRaid server once it is up and running. Now I have to figure out the security part because before I just forwarded a port through the firewall and didn't have any security on it. The new server is going to be having lots of services and I don't feel comfortable now just having an open port to the internet.
