Kdzouza3 1 Posted April 30, 2025 Posted April 30, 2025 Hi Emby team, I've noticed that the slideshow feature in the Emby app on Apple TV no longer functions the way it used to. Specifically, the settings for slideshow duration and transitions appear to be missing. In the past, I could customize how long each photo displays and whether transitions fade or slide, but now there seems to be no option to adjust any of that. Here are the details: Apple TV Model: A1842 (1st Gen 4k) tvOS Version: 18.4.1 [22L261] Emby App Version on Apple TV: Version 1.9.8 (2) Emby Server Version: 4.8.11.0 I’ve already: Updated both the Apple TV app and Emby server to the latest versions Checked the web app for global slideshow settings Restarted both the server and Apple TV It seems like the settings interface for slideshow is either missing or was removed. Could this be a bug or an intentional change in the latest update? If it’s a known issue, is there a timeline for restoring slideshow customization on tvOS? Thanks in advance for any help—happy to provide logs or do further testing if needed.
Luke 42077 Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Hi, this is resolved in the next update to Emby for Apple TV. Thanks. 1
Kdzouza3 1 Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 Thanks! It's the update already live? Let me know the build if you don't mind so I can match against mine
Kdzouza3 1 Posted May 5, 2025 Author Posted May 5, 2025 Thank you, any ideas when that release date will be?

Luke 42077 Posted May 16, 2025 Posted May 16, 2025 We should have an app update out very soon. Thanks.

KELLEN85 0 Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Is this problem resolved? I have recently decided to try running photo slideshow through Emby after the Frameo died, as all our photos are stored in folders on a NAS; Frameo cannot access the NAS. I also considered using Digital Photo Frame App for Apple TV but it does not seem to be available in my region (Australia). I cannot find how to get the Emby slideshow to repeat or loop continuously. I believe I am running the latest Emby for TV on an Apple TV 4K Gen 3 and the latest version of Emby Server on an Asustor AS6706T NAS. Both the Apple TV 4K and Asustor NAS are running their latest OS. Apple TV Model: A2843 (3rd Gen 128GB) tvOS Version: 26.1 (23J582) Emby App Version on Apple TV: Version 2.0.2 [5] Emby Server Version: 4.9.1.90 I get the options to select the transition type and length of time to display photo, but cannot find an option to loop for continuous slideshow. Am I missing something?
