Mazter Jedi 3 Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 Hey everyone, hope all is well! I recently got my hands on a few seasons of the show "24" and ripped them and put them on my server as I have dont with everything else. The next day I noticed that all of my shows/series were gone (not the files, just from the menu) and instead I was seeing 723 episodes of the anime "Tonobo", which each of my other shows showing as a season of Tonobo. Removing the show 24 and doing a metadata refresh put everything back. Curious, how should I put 24 in my Emby server without messing up all of the other shows I have? TIA
darkassassin07 652 Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 Try using the structure: /tv shows/24 [tvdbid=76290]/Season 1/episode.ext
Mazter Jedi 3 Posted April 29, 2025 Author Posted April 29, 2025 I can give that a shot. It is, like all my other shows, currently: /shows/24/Season 1/show.file No issues until now but I will try it!
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 Numbered show names without corresponding Year in naming scheme can be problematic and the parser can have issues not knowing what 24 is suppose to represent. Will guess the same issue as say 1923/1883.
Luke 42078 Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 Hi, yes adding year to the series folder is the best way to prevent this.
Mazter Jedi 3 Posted April 30, 2025 Author Posted April 30, 2025 (edited) Yes but why did it identify everything as an anime about golf??? Thanks for the replies! Edited April 30, 2025 by Mazter Jedi

We'd have to see your server log to see what metadata provides were used, what was used as the search criteria, and what came back as the result.
