ZhangD 0 Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 (edited) Hello Emby team, I am a loyal Emby user on mobile (Android 15, HyperOS 2.0, 23113RKC6C). While playing videos the blank spaces on the sides show my phone's wallpaper through a transparent background, which heavily impacts the viewing experience. I suggest adding an option under the playback settings, such as: "Background fill color during playback" "Force black background instead of transparent" This would greatly improve the experience for users who prefer a clean, immersive look without visual distractions. To make it easier to understand, I have attached a screenshot, showing how the phone's wallpaper is visible on both sides during video playback. I hope this helps to better illustrate the current experience issue. Thank you very much for considering this feature request. Emby is an amazing app! Edited April 27, 2025 by ZhangD
visproduction 315 Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Zhang, Check to see if your phone is doing this. I have Android version 13 using Chrome browser and I do not see the mobile background at all when playing any Emby video in a browser. Your screenshot looks like you are using a browser access. Are you using an Android Emby app?
Luke 42077 Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Hi, what version number of the Emby app is that?
