Bobby121418 17 Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 (edited) Hi, Following from my previous posts below, I had hoped that rebuilding my Synology (xpenology) to a new DSM version, now DSM 7.2.2-72806 would solve the problem, but it has not. To summarise, I have currently Emby 4.7.14.0-724071400 working, when tried to update to the latest version on Synology Package Center, (4.8.8.0) the Emby Service stops after a few seconds and the message on the screen (see screenshot attached) says Manually Stopped. I have tried several other versions, but the only one that currently works for me is 4.7.14.0. Attaching some latest logs. Can you please help me be able to update my Emby? Luke 42077 Posted April 30, 2025 Posted April 30, 2025 You would uninstall from DSM and then delete the server data folder: Emby Server Data Folder
Bobby121418 17 Posted April 30, 2025 Author Posted April 30, 2025 Thanks Luke, I can try this but I seem to remember I did this but did not work. Is there anything else like registeries (like in Windows) or something that should also be deleted?
Bobby121418 17 Posted May 3, 2025 Author Posted May 3, 2025 (edited) It worked. The issue was deleting the folder needs the right command because the directory is not empty. Perhaps you could add that to the guide. Edited May 3, 2025 by Bobby121418 1
