HELP Backdrops not working

all i did was add a backdrop for pokerface in my library and now its just replaced what was originally on the homescreen. im soooo confused why is it always so complicated.

4 years later has this issue been fixed? I love how the detailed screen is on my tv, but want to be able to atleast choose the backdrop. or atleast keep the original library image. and anytime i add something it just changes it and looks messy. how are things that could be so simple made so complicated. i may have to go back to plex

went into the fame library, right clicked on the pokerface video, edit images and added a backdrop for that as i will be for each video, but but for some reason its removed the original backdrop (top screenshot) which is the correct one, it just doesnt look like it makes sense. I assumed that the fact i can edit the images on the homepage thumbnail that they would still show.

You must have clicked the button on the existing image. That is a function to replace the current one. There are other buttons outside of that to add a new one without replacing.

Above the backdrops list there is a search and a plus icon.

im still confused. thats how ive been changing it already.

no matter how many times i upload a backdrop for the fame library it keep generating its own backdrops from within the library which i do not want.

It’s not replacing your backdrop. What’s happening is when the library is selected it is displaying a random item from that library and using the backdrop from that. So that’s also why you see the poker face logo and description. there are currently no settings to prevent the display of the random item although it is likely that some will be added in the future.

I see, realistically how likely is this able to be implemented, is it easy to add this option from your end?

thats great to hear, are you able to possibly indicate when? as im considering switching to another server as I really would like a consistent and clean interface and it would be a shame to leave to due this one thing missing.

I don't have an ETA, but it has come up a fair amount, particularly with the android crowd. Maybe if we had a feature request @CBers
