Jass_pearson23 1 Posted April 20, 2025 Posted April 20, 2025 The english audio doesn't work on my Roku TV but it works using the same account on my ipad and laptop. I've tried restarting my system, deleting the app, deconnect and reconnect nothing has worked. Yes the english option does appear and i select it everytime but it still plays in french. The same problem goes for the subtitles. I don't know what to try anymore i need help please
ebr 16169 Posted April 20, 2025 Posted April 20, 2025 Hi. Are you using your own server or connecting to someone else's?
Jass_pearson23 1 Posted April 20, 2025 Author Posted April 20, 2025 Hi i'm using the one i've been provided on my email so it's mine
pwhodges 2012 Posted April 20, 2025 Posted April 20, 2025 By "your own", we mean did you install and set up the server yourself, or are you connecting to a server set up and run by someone else? Paul
speechles 2055 Posted April 20, 2025 Posted April 20, 2025 (edited) The media will have the audio streams and subtitles marked as both default and forced. This will cause the Roku to be unable to switch streams during Direct Play. While the video is playing press down on your Roku remote to open the OSD. Once the OSD is open move to the cog/gear and click it. The playback menu opens and you can use the "Attempt Playback Correction" button. This will cause the item to Remux instead of Direct Play. Once remuxing it should allow you to switch audio streams and subtitles. This problem is a limitation of the Roku firmware when it detects a stream is set both default and forced while the item is Direct Playing. Since you are not the server owner you cannot correct the file. You must use the correction in the Roku app to allow you to change these. Edited April 20, 2025 by speechles
