Android app subtitles format problem

Hi,

I'm experiencing subtitles format problems using android app on both tv and phone.

I noticed problem when I started to not seeing subtitles background anymore.

I tried to edit subtitles format changing for example to blue color but no change reflects when playing.

I attach some screens about the problem.

As you see in options the background is correctly selected but when playing videos with srt subtitles the format is not respected.

Update: experiencing the same behavior with 3.4.57
