Metadata refreshing timing

Hi,

How does the metadata refreshing work in terms of timing and hierarchy?

My Library has TVDB as priority, and I tested by updating a few cast and crew on the episode ID on TVDB and then performing a 'replace all metadata'.
However, none of the additions came through. I tried for up to 20 minutes or so after making sure the library settings were correct.

If TVDB originally had zero items on cast and crew, I understand it would have gone to the next metadata provider. When I perform a 'refresh all metadata', does that attempt to go through all providers again, or is the item locked on the provider, looking for an update?

Or is there some other timing issue that may have been occurring?

HI, if you update the tvdb website then I would give it a day before you try to refresh it in Emby. Please see if that helps. Thanks.
