Good day, I have recently set up an Emby server and have been trying to connect to it with my android and amazon fire devices, and they throw out this error message as soon as the app opens. i can see my server and can attempt to connect, but it doesn't seem to want to. The server itself is running version 4.8.11.0 and the apps that are trying to connect are up to date. Attached is a SS of the error. Thank you for any help.

Hi, I think the problem is a general connection problem with the app showing the wrong error message. Assuming this is the right log, there are no requests from the android app which means it never even reached your server.

Try doing a new server connection and entering the server address manually and see if that helps.

it seems not to be working. says unable to connect to server, but it does say that the server is active. I do have port forwarding active on port 8096 on my router and the firewall has been configured to allow inbound and outbound connections. this screenshot is from a different pc.

Well now that's a different app. That is our hosted web app. The solution is given to you in the form of those four choices. Which of those will you proceed with?

Unfortunately, I have tried all of the above, and it has resulted in failure. I am thinking that it is something not configured properly in the software somewhere, I have tried to connect with a seperate pc, my ps3, and an assorted number of mobile devices. I have set up the Emby connect option, and that seems to to work, either.

What exactly happens when clicking the first green link in your dialog above?

Are you sure Emby server is running on the server machine?
