HD stuttering and wrong aspect ratio from WTV source

I'm having the same issue others have reported where it plays for about 5 seconds, then pauses, then plays for another 5 seconds, etc.  I thought it might be an underpowered machine (was bumping up near 100% cpu usage) so I recently upgraded the server to an i5-4690k and it still happens with very low cpu utilization so now I know that's not the issue...

 

Client is Chrome 39.0.2171.65 m

 

In addition to the stuttering, the aspect ratio is all wrong but seems to be limited to .wtv files.  It appears to detect the video as a 704x480 source but it's actually 1280x720, then tries to transcode it "back" to 1280x720.  This happens for all of my .wtv files (well, the ones I tried anyway).  Log file attached.

 

 

Using the latest server version available.  Previously the aspect ratio was working (or so I recall).

The wrong aspect ratio for wtv looks like an ffmpeg bug that was fixed very recently. I don't know if it's made it it into the MB builds yet.

Ok, excellent.  I'll be looking for the aspect ratio fix.

 

How about the stuttering?  Are the devs not seeing the same thing happening?
