Luke 42077 Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 No that’s not true. Remote control is supported over remote connections.
ebr 16169 Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 The Roku will only support this on the LAN, however.
VicMoore 754 Posted April 14, 2025 Author Posted April 14, 2025 @Luke@ebr OK, I took the two Emby servers I used in the first test and put both on the same local network as the Fire Cube and the Samsung TV. One sends commands OK and the other does not. Both are Dell 7040s and have Emby 4.8.11.0 installed. Could it be possible that one server has messaging turned off? The server that is not sending messages is connected to a Synology NAS. The other has a local db. Vic
VicMoore 754 Posted April 14, 2025 Author Posted April 14, 2025 I did another test. I checked to see if the two users had "Remote Control" turned on; they did. But the server causing the trouble had a second user that had "Remote Control" off. I turned it on and everything worked fine. Thanks for your help. Vic 1

You can sideloading the latest build to test. Don't know what improvements you mean, but i'm pretty sure in previous versions i could see the app interface (backdrop or something like that) between stop and start of the next program, while now there's just a black screen. I really like that, because it feels more natural, more like a real tv channel!
