About hardware acceleration on a amd gpu (RX6750XT)

Now I own a RX6750XT.

I have read about AMD AMF hardware acceleration from documentation, and I did not see the AMD AMF supports any type of hardware decoders, only H.264 encoders (?)

So, no hardware decoding from AMD GPU? Only software decoding from CPU?

I am a little confused, someone please help me.

Idk much about AMD cards, but their site claims that card has acceleration for avc/hevc encoding and decoding.

thx, i've already read about the specs of RX6750XT gpu, it supports av1 decode but no av1 encode so i think it is a decend gpu. (from hardware side)

i wonder if emby engineers would add further AMD AMF support to emby server.

Hi, we'll get it into the 4.9 beta channel and then we'll assess whether to backport to 4.8 or just get 4.9 released as quickly as we can. Thanks.
