Are tools like ChatGPT, GPT, Siri, and Grammarly considered Generative AI?

I was scrolling on Google and found this article about generative ai (https://glance.com/blogs/glanceai/ai-trends/generative-ai-explained-chatgpt-gpt-siri-grammarly-are-they-genai) and now I'm kinda confused like are tools we use everyday like ChatGPT Siri and Grammarly actually considered generative ai? I mean they create stuff but is that the same as what generative ai really is? like and how  ChatGPT writes whole paragraphas and Grammarlly suggests sentences but does that count as generative aior is it something else? And Siri answers questions but is it technically generative ai too? The article said something about how generative AI creates new content but I'm not suree if all these tools fit that definition exactly or if they're different types of aI? Like whre do we draw the line with what counts as generative AI and what doesn't? Would love to hear what others think about this especially if you've read up on generative AI too

Generative AI is when the response received is created using intelligence which has been learned from multiple facts(models) but is not the direct result of using those individual facts. 

A very simple example - if I ask GenAI 'what colour do I get if I mix yellow and blue' - if it simply looks this up in a table and shows you the result (Green) - this is not AI.   If the model uses deep knowledge on what it has previously learnt on colours (in this example, light/wavelengths etc) and attempts to maps these facts together, eliminates other options and finally comes up with a derived wavelength of Green and then gives you the answer - this is considered genAI.

Yeah, they fall under generative AI because they create new content based on data they’ve learned from. Not all AI tools are generative AI. ChatGPT/GPT generate new content, so they are. Grammarly suggests edits helpful but not fully generative. Siri mostly retrieves info, not creating original content. A generative AI PoC helps test which tools truly generate content vs assist.
