Immediate crash of MacOS Emby Client

Hello,

I'm running a M1 Ultra Mac Studio and am on v15.4. I'm running Emby client v2.2.37.

As soon as I play anything the app crashes. This has been happening on v15.3 and the previous few clients. I can use Chrome with no problems but unable to use the Native client at all.

Attached is the crash report.

Thank you,

Chris

Are you using a Studio Display or some other display with usb audio?  There seems to be an issue with usb audio and the current macOS client.

Hi there, can you please attach the log file in it's original plain text format? Thanks !

I am... I saw that post and tried that but no difference. My standard audio output is via USB to an RME DigiFace USB interface.

@Luke, are we going to get this release to potentially fix this USB audio crash on macOS any time soon?

I also have this issue, or at least one quite similar.

On my Mac Mini M4 I can play some files, but most result in an immidiate crash. It doesn't seem to be related to resolution, codec or framerate either, although most av1 files do crash it.
Furthermore, when I try to listen to music (flac), it's only very loud screeshing, somewhat like fingernails on a chalkboard.
All of this is while using a usb audio interface (GoXLR). Same files are perfectly fine when played through the web version on the same Mac Mini using Vivaldi as Webbrowser.
While this workaround is fine, I'd prefer to use the native app.

Sadly, the update 2.2.53 that came out a few days ago (May 25th if I'm not mistaken?) doesn't seem to have fixed the issue, although I'm of course not sure if it was supposed to.
Was the recent update supposed to fix the issue or is the fix not yet ready?
