Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted April 7, 2025 Posted April 7, 2025 (edited) This is just an idea but I can see some need for it. I have several VERY old files that migrated from VHS (recorded from live TV) to DVD to avi then to mp4. There are a few files that are missing one audio channel. They were all originally in mono so all the tracks contain all the audio info. What i was wanting to ask is that would there be some way to combine the channels or play from the working channel to both channels? Since it only gets noticed when a file is being played it would be good if it could be done during playback. I recognize that this is probably impossible but it is somewhat off-putting to suddenly hit a file that only has audio in only one channel. I do have a working fix for this but it is involved and takes time and i have to change it back if I want full audio on the next file. I thank you for looking at this and if it is impossible then that is what it is as it is not exactly important, just irritating. But listening to only one channel does drop the enjoyment a bit. Luke 42077 Posted April 7, 2025 Posted April 7, 2025 Hi, so you want to take an audio track from one video file, and use it while playing another?

I want to be able to play the left or right channel and year it through both speakers. That is if only the left channel exists then I would like to be able to hear that channel through both speakers. other videos have nothing to do with it.
crusher11 1101 Posted April 7, 2025 Posted April 7, 2025 You said "track" in the first post, when you meant "channel." Might want to edit for clarity.

AJAYSWebDesign 5 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 You'd be better doing this to your vids outside of emby.........
