Unable to download on iOS (iPhone & iPad)

Having huge problems trying to download on my iPhone and iPad. Tested on iPhone 15, 16 and iPad mini 6, all with the same issue.

I am given the option to choose the quality when clicking download on the app, but doesnt matter if its original or transcoded, the selected content doesnt appear in the downloads tab of the app.  Just blank after the movies and TV windows. I also cant find any place on the app to view the status of selected downloads. Sometimes randomly the requested downloads appear in the downloads section, but only 20% of the time, and seemingly randomly. 

Any suggestions, or does anyone have similar issues?
