Dmanr6 2 Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 The recent release of 2.2.37 seems to remove the skip 10 seconds forward and backward on audio files. This affects the downloaded audio where no controls are located. And the continue listening where it only shows previous and next as controls. I'm running iOS 18.3.2
Luke 42077 Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Hi, the main buttons were made larger and so right now this is the price to be paid for that.
Dmanr6 2 Posted April 3, 2025 Author Posted April 3, 2025 Thanks for the quick reply. Bummer. So no planned fix for this? in a movie the 10 second skip fwd or rvs seems to show fine. This is brutal for audio books that can be as long as 40 hours to navigate through.
Dmanr6 2 Posted April 3, 2025 Author Posted April 3, 2025 Just went to check the other instances of Emby and notice that they show up for some of the other instances. iPad, browser, seem to show the 10 second skip. Apple TV and Emby Theater do not. I guess I can listen to audio books on the iPad but I take my iPhone 13 with me everywhere. I would always download an audio book and listen to it.
Dmanr6 2 Posted April 3, 2025 Author Posted April 3, 2025 I guess where I'm confused is on iPhone iOS this has always been an option until the last update. This image is where they show up on iPad running version 2.2.36 iPadOS 16.2
Dmanr6 2 Posted April 3, 2025 Author Posted April 3, 2025 Sorry if I am being unclear. The functionality was present on app version 2.2.36 As shown on this image. On the last update to 2.2.37 this functionality was removed. In the mean time I have turned off automatic updates on the iPad and will listen to them on there. Hope to get the function back on the iPhone.
Dmanr6 2 Posted April 4, 2025 Author Posted April 4, 2025 I was able to downgrade to version 2.2.31. This brought the functionality back. I was unable to find the build version number for 2.2.36 so I might just keep 31 version till this gets fixed.
Dmanr6 2 Posted April 4, 2025 Author Posted April 4, 2025 <update> after a head throbbing learning curve found the number and was able to downgrade successfully to 2.2.36. Need those audio books in my life. 1
Solution Dmanr6 2 Posted May 5, 2025 Author Solution Posted May 5, 2025 This issue was fixed on 2.2.38 Thanks Team Emby. Great entertainment software. I love finding new ways to utilize EMBY to consume my entertainment. 1
