How to navigate back to currently playing video, using remote control?

Like the title says.. 

I've got a an IR remote control and started a video.

I hit back button while watching video to browse around and let it keep playing in the background. 

Didn't find anything I wanted to watch more, now I cannot find a possible way to navigate back down and select the grey bar at the bottom to bring the currently playing video back on top, without using a mouse. The remote arrows keys never go there. 

Design flaw? or am I missing something?...

Hi, if you go back to the Home Screen there will be a now playing bar at the top, although we should look at adding other ways to get there.

There doesn't seem to be ... Is that optional, could I have turned that off when cleaning up the home screen? 

I did discover if I navigate down to continue watching and go back to it, I can choose resume.  That wasn't there before; I guess I wasn't far enough into the video for it to switch from play to resume.

This is terribly clunky, but it'll work vs. getting up to go get a mouse I forgot when I played down the couch.

I would try switching to TV display mode. If you’re using a remote control then that’s really the best choice.

That didn't make any navigation difference that I can find, just seems to change the look. I prefer the desktop look and sizing.

Yeah. I can hear it and see it in the background and the bar on the bottom with the controls and restore button is there and active, but you have to mouse to it.

You can try it yourself if you don't believe me... Same with the keyboard arrow keys.  No amount of up down left or right, will take you to that grey bar with the player controls.

Not sure where the 2.222.etc. came from, but yeah, the app from the MS store. 

Downloaded within the last month, so whatever the current version is.

Yes, I found the version in the app, that's indeed the one.
