unisoft 352 Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 At the moment, if you have Cinema Intros and / or Vantage Point intros, then the user can bypass/skip each intro by pressing the FF >> key on remote or direction right key, I'd like to disable that from the server side to prevent this behaviour. Often I may have a tag that has a screen of information, for example, a warning about flashing lights may affect some people, quality of a video or explanation that it is in Black and White because of strikes at the time (early 1970s) it was made. 1
unisoft 352 Posted April 1, 2025 Author Posted April 1, 2025 Not sure why you disagree crusher11? Its decided by system owner for Emby to force from the server side? If the system owner does don't force it, then the app can carry on as normal with the skip function. Not saying to NOT have this feature just more control if required by system owner. I'm fed up with family skipping them as the intros can contain information relevant to programme or warnings about content in them.

"My family is watching movies wrong" is an asinine position, and there are far more important things for the Emby team to be doing. 1 1

It's nowhere near as big as other things that are asked for on here, like maintaining Android TV and Android apps for example as just one.
