quickmic 1703 Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Seems Discogs addon sometimes uses wrong ids. 2025-04-01 04:11:08.006 Debug App: Running DiscogsArtistProvider for Alphaville 2025-04-01 04:11:08.407 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.discogs.com/artists/194 2025-04-01 04:11:08.643 Info HttpClient: Http response 404 from https://api.discogs.com/artists/194 after 236ms 2025-04-01 04:11:08.647 Error App: Error in Discogs *** Error Report *** Version: 4.9.0.43 Command line: /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /var/lib/emby -ffdetect /opt/emby-server/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /opt/emby-server/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /opt/emby-server/bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 -updatepackage emby-server-deb_{version}_amd64.deb Operating system: Linux version 6.8.12-8-pve (build@proxmox) (gcc (Debian 12.2.0-14) 12.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Debian) 2.40) #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC PMX 6.8.12-8 OS/Process: x64/x64 Framework: .NET 8.0.11 Runtime: opt/emby-server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 38 Data path: /var/lib/emby Application path: /opt/emby-server/system MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: NotFound at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsyncInternal(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod) at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsync(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod) at Discogs.Plugin.GetResponse(HttpRequestOptions request, String method) at Discogs.Plugin.GetDeserializedResponse[T](HttpRequestOptions request, String method) at Discogs.DiscogsArtistProvider.GetMetadataResponse(ArtistInfo id, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Discogs.DiscogsArtistProvider.GetMetadata(ArtistInfo id, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Providers.Manager.MetadataService`2.ExecuteRemoteProviders(MetadataResult`1 temp, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, String logName, TIdType id, IRemoteMetadataProvider`2[] providers, MetadataRefreshOptions options, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: Emby.Server.Implementations TargetSite: Void MoveNext() Artist "Alphaville" should have ID "https://api.discogs.com/artists/59776" but Emby tries "https://api.discogs.com/artists/194"
Luke 42077 Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 HI, this isn't really the problem. It's more a question of where did it come from.
quickmic 1703 Posted April 1, 2025 Author Posted April 1, 2025 (edited) Well the Discogs ID was generated at some point (not externally). Musicbrainz Ids are generated externally (Piccard). I have 2 Alphaville artists in my music library. The first (correct) one has: Discogs ID: 59776 Musicbrainz: 31aa6f87-8d00-4ae9-a5cc-6d7eeea109d2 AudioDB: 113964 The other has: Discogs ID: 194 Musicbrainz: 89ad4ac3-39f7-470e-963a-56509c546377 AudioDB: 113641 According to Musicbrainz and AudioDB hat's a Various Artists ID Kind a strange, cause both Artists have "Alphaville" as Title and Sort Title. I try to fix that manually. You might filter the Discogs ID: 194 (Various artists)?, as there are a lot in my library and the scraper tries to pull metadata over and over again. Also Discogs is very picky multiple requests. -> too many requests. Edited April 1, 2025 by quickmic

So this is a issue of their own creation. Various Artists - MusicBrainz 2 hours ago, Luke said: OK I would just blank out those discogs ids. I guess if this discogid can be ignore would be best as MBZ will just repopulate it. Edited April 1, 2025 by Happy2Play added other topic
