Thumbnails not shown when seeking, but shown when media is paused

Steps: Play a TV show or movie on Apple TV. Skip back and forward; notice that there are no thumbnails shown. Pause the video; see that a thumbnail now appears.

In other words, Emby doesn't show a thumbnail during seeking where it would be useful, but it does show a thumbnail when the media is paused...and it's not useful (lol).

IIRC, this has been an issue on Emby since we bought our Apple TV a year ago. Any hope of fixing this one?

Yes, scrubbing thumbnails work for every other platform I’ve tested (Android, iOS, web) for the same media.

Also, the thumbnail that appears when the media is paused doesn’t actually match the paused frame itself, as the thumbnail is a few frames ahead or behind the paused frame. So perhaps Apple TV is actually grabbing these thumbnails from the server, but just not showing them correctly?
