At the airport one of my family members want to watch a movie on tablet before we board the plane with Emby

What would be the quickest way to get a local copy of a movie or tv show from Emby ? Not sure how much time I have sorry.

Use the download feature in the app.

If there's internet connection to the server you can just play it.

 

If there's no internet connection, downloads will appear when loading the app.

I usually prep the file in advance, but if I’m stuck at the airport, the fastest method is syncing the lowest-quality version in the Emby app so it grabs a smaller file. A wired transfer from a laptop is quicker than Wi‑Fi if you have it

On long trips booked through https://travelbusinessclass.com, I’ve done this right before boarding and it finished in time as long as the file wasn’t huge
