Backdrop disappears with context (long-press) menu open

@LukeI'm posting this in the Android forum as this is where I first noticed it in TV Mode, but it actually impacts other Theater apps, including the new Windows App.

On the homescreen with detailed preview mode enabled, if you long-press to open the context menu on an item, the active backdrop disappears and then re-appears when you close that menu. This results in a poor user experience.

The same actually happens if you hit 'Back' in this view and the focus jumps up to the top "Home" -- probably has something to do with the current item losing focus. The expected behavior is that the current backdrop remains visible.

Thanks.

Can confirm this is resolved when the right-click menu is in view.

Can you also provide the same treatment when the "Home" button is selected at the very top and also in the side menu? Thanks.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. From any item on the home screen, click 'Back' button on remote, navigation jumps to top 'Home' bar = Backdrop disappears
  2. From top row on home screen, click 'Up' button on remote, navigation jumps to top 'Home' bar = Backdrop disappears
  3. From any item on the home screen, click 'Left' button on remote, navigation opens side menu with 'Home' selected = Backdrop disappears
