iTunes 0 Posted March 27, 2025 Author Posted March 27, 2025 What I will be doing is using tablets, 1 tablet for the front and 2 tablets in the back having each tablet able to watch or listen to what they want. What I'm wondering is will mounting hard drives in the trunk get damaged from the bass of 2 subs 15's in the trunk. 2 of these in the trunk, https://www.amazon.com/Sundown-Audio-1-Ohm-2000W-Subwoofer/dp/B09FVL7KQV/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3BNRMGDF167YC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.PVpfhbsF-YCtMHrJ2qMCv5CL6o1Y5YVgCDWmc963sIOKFjNj_WhPxrfHCXGQdNTZ31io_13g3Ns5wXetL3uiS8vw4UPs-YFBvJfauMvYhvpNh5_LznOA3HfLxu-YsLoU8HBRakDLF1_QIVcCwX_VAMHGJ0saUj9fbdtbFjbFVkJ7dJsa2FJwj-m8_Bbd03swU2eEyOqOEBKbJkbKFoCYqd2ACTz39fERrWAh8lcek0k.9G-DvEXXZkwbzXOB3qdkmc_mUEcFJh9yvSSg3BfJnXs&dib_tag=se&keywords=sundown+15+inch+subwoofer&qid=1743111983&sprefix=Sundown+%2Caps%2C358&sr=8-3 Each sub on their own amp.

For vehicle use any type of SSD from flash to NVMe would be highly preferred over spinning disks. I'd try and avoid spinning disks if at all possible if this isn't a temp install. I originally started using a notebook with a 2.5" HDD as I had used it often in the car with no issues, but when mounted/strapped down I crashed the first of 3 drives the 2nd day it was installed going over a speed bump rather slow. Using SSD drives I've had media servers in my cars/trucks, sail boats & RVs and never had a drive problem. I'd image the "shockwaves" from 2 15" subs mounted close to spinning drives would take their toll rather quickly. I haven't used spinning disks in anything portable in at least 5 years so I don't know if 2.5" spinning notebook drives made these days would be any better but, if possible, just avoid spinning disks.
