Didiflix 3 Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 Hi folks, I noticed when some subtitles are selected, they're being rendered to an incorrect file source. Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem For the particular Debug Log shared, I was watching Adolescence, and if I select the standard English-ASS subtitle, nothing happens. If I select the second option (Portuguese SRT), it renders the English-ASS, if I select the third option (English SRT) the app renders the Portuguese SRT. Seems like the pointers are shifted -1 towards the file. The Samsung App I have in another TV room also had similar problems with other files. Note: I checked the content of the subtitles and they're named correct - in the Web Client, they work as expected. Same with the Emby for Android 3.3.46 version running in my Amazon FireTV (however this version sometimes is erratic, lagging - that's why I reverted back to Emby for Fire TV) The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5) Log sent 11:58 AM EST The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time Didiflix Pro @ Dothraki server. Thanks for your help - keep it up.
Luke 42077 Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
Didiflix 3 Posted March 27, 2025 Author Posted March 27, 2025 Hi @LukeI sent the log through the application (enabled debug, reproduced as indicated in the forum, and sent the log). What did I miss ? Quote Emby for Android TV/Fire TV and Emby for Roku Logs These apps have the option to send an app log to us electronically. You enter the settings page and turn on the "Debug Options". Now there will be a new tile on your home page settings row (or menu option on the user menu at the top) labelled "Send Log". Reproduce your problem and then use this button to send the log. Then add the following information to your report in the forum: Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5) The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time
Luke 42077 Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 HI, can you please attach the emby server log as well? Thanks.
ebr 16169 Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.
Didiflix 3 Posted March 27, 2025 Author Posted March 27, 2025 Hi @ebr I have both installed. The Android version has other problems of stability, but the Subtitle selection work as expected. Only the Emby for Fire TV and Samsung App (that I tested) are presenting this issue
