expand the image to fill the entire poster area

Hi, I'm solving a problem with displaying an item in the library. When the Item is not identified and image capture is used. Image capture creates a poster with the wrong aspect ratio. (blank bars are created below and above the image).

I am trying to achieve this result (from plex):

Would it be possible to create something similar to what is in plex?

A cutout of the image that would stretch and fill the poster space.

Hi,  yes I guess it's possible but half the sides would be chopped off.

You could capture that image and add it manually.

If Plex is identifying the item, if it lets you see its id in the various metadata databases (like Emby does) you could use that to identify it in Emby.

I can identify the item if it is in the online database, the problem is when it does not exist in any online database. @pwhodges

So Plex didn't identify it either, then?  So where did Plex's image come from - and why not just add it to Emby yourself?
